Karnah– As part of the Border Area Youth Exchange Programme, organized by Nehru Yuva Kalyan Sansthan, Kupwara, 25 students from five states visited Tangdhar and Teetwal. The initiative aimed to promote national integration and cultural exchange by exposing students to the region’s heritage, military history, and local resilience.
The students visited the Azmat-e-Hind Memorial, learning about the sacrifices of the Armed Forces, and the Sharda Devi Temple, a symbol of cultural and spiritual heritage. They also toured the Shakti Vijay Brigade Headquarters, where they observed the Indian Army’s efforts in education, skill development, and community welfare in border areas.
The students expressed gratitude for the experience, noting how it deepened their understanding of border life and strengthened their patriotism. The programme continues to foster unity and awareness among youth, bridging the gap between the nation’s frontline regions and its young citizens.
