A propaganda video allegedly linked to a terror outfit is circulating on social media, drawing strong condemnation from netizens. While online users have outrightly rejected the video, cyber experts have labeled it a “classic tactic of futile propaganda.”
The video features a male voice, purportedly of a so-called commander, spreading anti-state rhetoric. However, netizens on social media platform X have expressed their deep dissatisfaction, calling it an attempt to mislead the public.
One user Bilal wrote, “Fasad…!!! Don’t mix religion with the prosperity of Kashmir. Stop misguiding Awam-e-Kashmir against the government and security forces who are ensuring peace and opulence in the Valley. My humble request to Kashmiris—don’t fall for such propaganda.”
Amid the circulation of the propaganda video, another video mimicking the same style has also surfaced in social media groups. However, this time, the message was starkly different—a conscientious citizen urging terrorists to stop spreading lies and let Kashmir grow in peace.
Speaking to our correspondent, a cyber expert emphasized that such videos are often created and circulated by external networks backed by hostile forces. “These videos are part of a larger campaign aimed at spreading malicious narratives. However, people today are well aware of such outdated tactics and know how to counter them,” he added.
The circulation of such content has once again highlighted the importance of digital vigilance and the role of social media users in countering misinformation.
