Kupwara — The Hamdard e Kupwara Battalion (41 RR) successfully organized the Super 10 Cricket Tournament from October 22-25, with the goal of fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love for sports among Kupwara’s young cricket enthusiasts. The tournament saw fierce competition among eight local teams and was structured as a knockout series, with officials from the District Sports Department overseeing each match.
The grand finale on October 25 featured an intense showdown between Sadiq Memorial School and Rehmat Alam School. In a closely contested match that kept fans on edge, Rehmat Alam School emerged victorious, claiming the trophy for 2024.
Individual honors included Adnan Malik as Man of the Match and Harish Sonawala as Man of the Tournament for their outstanding performances. The Army celebrated both the winner and runner-up teams in a prize distribution ceremony, awarding participation certificates to all players and fostering a spirit of encouragement and pride.
The tournament was hailed as a resounding success, giving young athletes a platform to showcase their cricketing skills and underscoring the importance of community sports in Kupwara.
