Kupwara: Anjum Altaf Qureshi has been elected as the new president of the Private Schools Association Kupwara. The election took place during a key meeting held on Tuesday, which was attended by zonal presidents from all 14 zones of the district, along with senior and reputed members of the association, including the entire district body.
The meeting was convened to discuss important matters related to the functioning of private schools in the district, with a particular focus on academic improvement and organizational restructuring. A detailed discussion was held regarding the need for new leadership, considering the completion of the previous body’s term and in light of directions and suggestions from the state committee.
It was unanimously agreed that fresh elections be conducted through the zonal presidents to form a new district body. After a formal election process and the endorsement of the executive council, Anjum Altaf Qureshi was elected as president, while Mustafa Bashir Bhat was chosen as vice president. Mohammad Ashraf Baba took over as secretary, and Zahoor Ahmad was appointed as incharge finance.
