Kupwara– The Border Areas Youth Exchange Program (BAYEP), aimed at promoting national integration and cultural understanding, began on February 19 at the Town Hall in Kupwara. Organized by MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the five-day event brings together 25 youth from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
The program focuses on bridging cultural gaps between youth from border and non-border regions through dialogue and shared experiences. Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayueshi Sudian, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering unity and understanding among India’s diverse communities.
BAYEP includes cultural performances showcasing Kashmiri traditions, providing participants with a glimpse into the region’s rich heritage. The initiative aims to create a more inclusive and harmonious India by empowering youth to build lasting connections across regional divides.
