In Bandipora’s SK Payeen area, the death toll in an Army vehicle accident has risen to 4, while 2 soldiers remain in critical condition.
According to officials, the Army vehicle skidded off the Bandipora-Srinagar road and plunged into a deep gorge. Five soldiers sustained severe injuries in the incident and were rushed to the district hospital in Bandipora, where two were declared dead on arrival.
Later, two critically injured soldiers were shifted to Srinagar for advanced medical treatment. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
