Srinagar, March 24 – In a crackdown on the misuse of social media for militancy glorification, Cyber Police Srinagar has initiated legal action against eight individuals accused of spreading extremist propaganda.
Authorities identified and detained the individuals after cyber surveillance revealed their involvement in circulating content aimed at radicalizing youth. Among them are Sajad Ahmad Lone (Kulgam), Zuhaib Zahoor (Srinagar), Abrar Mushtaq (Srinagar), and Farhad Rasool (Srinagar). Additionally, four juveniles involved in similar activities were counseled and handed over to their parents under strict monitoring.
Cyber Police have reiterated their warning against the misuse of digital platforms, emphasizing that strict legal action will be taken against violators. Citizens have been urged to report suspicious online activities to help maintain a secure digital space.
