Kupwara, March 18: Frisking Staff, including lecturers, senior lecturers, and female ICDS supervisors, who were deputed for the December 2024 SSRB Constable recruitment exams, are still waiting for their payments. While invigilators, magistrates, and observers have received their dues, those responsible for stringent frisking at examination centers remain unpaid, raising serious concerns about fund allocation.
JKSSRB Chairperson Miss Indu Chib refuted claims of non-payment, stating that funds had been disbursed to most districts through their respective Deputy Commissioners (DCs). However, when Spotlight reached out to the Kupwara District Administration, officials had a contradictory response, asserting that they had not received any funds for Frisking Staff from the SSRB Head Office.
This discrepancy has sparked outrage among the affected personnel, who now find themselves caught in bureaucratic red tape. “We stood in the cold for hours to ensure a smooth and fair examination process. Now, instead of our rightful payment, we are met with excuses and blame-shifting. If the money was disbursed, where is it?” questioned an aggrieved supervisor.
As SSRB and the district administration continue to pass the buck, frustration is mounting. With no clarity on when payments will be made, the Frisking Staff is now demanding immediate action. If authorities fail to respond, they warn of further steps to secure their rightful dues.
