Srinagar: In a significant move to streamline operations and enhance the fight against illegal mining, the Directorate of Geology and Mining, J&K, has ordered the immediate transfer of 12 officials to new postings. The decision, aimed at ensuring efficient functioning of district mineral offices, was issued via Order No. 09-JK(DGM) of 2025, dated 01-01-2025.
The details of the transfers are as follows:
- Mehraj u din Lone, Mineral Supervisor, transferred from Ganderbal to Kupwara.
- Mohd. Ashraf Dar, Drill Operator Grade-II, shifted from Kupwara to Ganderbal.
- Gh. Mustafa Malik, Helper, moved from Ganderbal to Srinagar.
- Mursal Nazir, Mineral Supervisor, transferred from Srinagar to Ganderbal.
- Farooq Ahmad Wani, Drill Helper, shifted from Srinagar to Ganderbal.
- Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Mineral Supervisor, transferred from Pulwama to Srinagar.
- Aryan Kundan, MTS (Mineral Guard), moved from Directorate Office Jammu to Samba.
- Maitri Nanda, MTS (Mineral Guard), transferred from Joint Director Office Jammu to Pulwama.
- Sumaira Ashraf, I/c Mineral Supervisor, redeployed from Directorate Office Kashmir to Srinagar.
- Anzar Fayaz, MTS (Mineral Guard), shifted from Joint Director Office Kashmir to Srinagar.
- Bashir Ahmad Ganie, MTS (Store Khalasi), moved from Joint Director Office Kashmir to Ganderbal.
- Rouf Ahmad Raina, MTS (Mineral Guard), transferred from Kulgam to Budgam.
The officials have been directed to assume their new roles with immediate effect, and their current postings stand relieved.
This reshuffling is part of the department’s strategy to address administrative challenges and reinforce its efforts against illegal mining activities across Jammu and Kashmir.
