The Jammu and Kashmir government has released a circular underscoring the need to prioritize and maintain proper protocol when engaging with elected representatives. Issued by the General Administration Department, the directive highlights the significant role of Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in governance and calls for government officials to extend full cooperation and address their concerns promptly.
The circular mandates that all departments and officials in the Union Territory prioritize interactions with elected representatives, ensuring their communications, requests, and grievances are acknowledged and resolved swiftly. It also stresses the importance of treating elected leaders with professionalism and respect.
Additionally, the circular requires that elected representatives be invited to all official functions, meetings, and events within their constituencies, including visits by dignitaries. These instructions have been communicated to all relevant authorities for immediate and strict adherence.
This move aims to strengthen the collaboration between elected representatives and government officials, ensuring smoother governance and better public service delivery in Jammu and Kashmir.
