Srinagar, March 22, 2025: A massive sanitation drive was initiated at SKIMS Medical College, Bemina on the instructions of newly appointed Principal, Dr. Fazl Q. Parray. The drive is intended to provide a clean and hygienic atmosphere in the hospital as well as in the vicinity.
Dr. Parray appreciated the tireless work of the sanitation department, recognizing their hard work and dedication despite the shortage of resources and personnel. Gratefully, he said:
“Our sanitation workers are working day and night to ensure the hospital and college campus remains clean. Their dedication, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, is exemplary.”
He also made a public request, calling on the patients and visitors to be clean and not litter within the hospital premises. He emphasized that SKIMS MC is public property, and it is a collective responsibility for everyone to make it clean.
“A clean campus lessens the infection risk and deters stray animals from inhabiting the campus. We need to cultivate civic awareness and dispose of waste properly,” he further stated.
Medical Superintendent, Dr. Shafa Deva, and Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr. Qayoom, CMO’s, and Sanitation Officers were instrumental in making this campaign a success.
Dr. Parray was hopeful that with ongoing public support and the untiring efforts of the sanitation workers, SKIMS MC will also maintain a clean environment in the times to come.
