Lolab: In a heartbreaking incident late last night, a makeshift shelter—locally known as a kothar—collapsed in the remote forested area of Amri Bhak, Warnow, claiming the lives of two residents from Aafan Warnow.
The victims have been identified as Marif Noori, approximately 60 years old and the wife of Mohammad Yousuf Mir, and Abid Ahmad Mir, an 8-year-old boy and son of Mohammad Shafi Mir.
According to local sources, the bodies are still at the site of the collapse. A rescue team comprising 10–15 local villagers and personnel has departed for the area to recover the deceased.
Further details are awaited as the rescue operation continues.
