New Delhi: In a development reported by The Print, Pakistan has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen/Mariners) and commenced a naval live-fire exercise in the Arabian Sea, which includes a missile test. This move comes amid heightened alertness in the region following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
According to defence sources cited in the report, the Pakistan Navy has activated its air defence systems and deployed AWACS aircraft to monitor Indian air activity. The NOTAM issued on Wednesday marks the Arabian Sea activity for 24 and 25 April.
Military analysts view the move as a show of force, anticipating a possible reaction from India in the wake of the attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
