Jammu: Heated debate erupted in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly today during the Question Hour when National Conference MLA Mir Saifullah stated that facilities in some areas of Pakistan-administered Kashmir, particularly near the Keran sector, are better.
His remarks sparked strong opposition from BJP MLA RS Pathania, who demanded that the statement be expunged from the Assembly’s records.
Later, speaking to the media, Mir Saifullah clarified that his intent was not to praise Pakistan but to highlight the lack of facilities in his own region. He emphasized that his statement was not meant as a comparison but rather as a call to address local issues.
Saifullah further stated that if anyone had objections, he was willing to clarify his stance.
