Kupwara, September 13, 2024 – In honor of Col Santosh Mahadik, the Indian Army’s 41 Rashtriya Rifles organized an inspiring Col Santosh Mahadik Inter-School Girls’ Kho-Kho Tournament at Galzoo Stadium in Kupwara. The event, held from September 11-13, showcased the Army’s dedication to uplifting and empowering young girls through sports, bringing together eight schools from the area in a spirited display of athleticism and teamwork.
The exciting final match on September 13 saw Government Middle School triumph over Sadiq Memorial School in a nail-biting game, with a final score of 20-14. The atmosphere was electric as civil and military dignitaries, students, and staff gathered to cheer on the finalists and celebrate the achievements of all participants.
Throughout the tournament, the students demonstrated incredible enthusiasm and resilience, embodying the Army’s message of a “Never Give Up” spirit. To honor their efforts, each team received certificates, with the top three teams awarded medals and trophies, symbolizing the Army’s support and encouragement for the region’s youth.
