Karnah, – In a remarkable display of administrative efficiency and humanitarian commitment, the Karnah administration successfully airlifted critically ill patients to Kupwara, ensuring they receive urgent medical care. This swift and well-coordinated operation, spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah, and Tehsildar Karnah, has garnered widespread appreciation from the local community.
According to the details received by The Spotlight, among the patients airlifted were Rohail Mir (15) from Khawarpara and 18-month-old Bibi Sana from Kona Gabra, both requiring immediate medical intervention. Their air travel fitness certificates were promptly issued by the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Tangdhar, confirming the critical nature of their condition and the necessity for urgent evacuation.
Given Karnah’s geographical remoteness and frequent disruptions in road connectivity due to harsh weather, aerial evacuations serve as a vital lifeline for those in need of immediate medical attention. The proactive approach of the district administration has been widely lauded, with locals acknowledging the indispensable role such timely interventions play in saving lives.
