Kupwara: Kupwara Adminstration held an awareness program at Government Degree College (GDC) Sogam to educate students and faculty about recent changes in criminal laws.
The session was led by Prosecution Officer Zulafkar Aalam and SDPO Lolab Dr. Raies Ahmad, with participation from SHO Sogam Aijaz Ahmad, ZEO Sogam, faculty members, and local dignitaries.
Key discussions included stricter laws on crimes against women, legal provisions on false marriage promises, and enhanced cybercrime regulations. Officials emphasized faster legal procedures to ensure justice for victims.
The interactive session allowed participants to raise questions, with authorities encouraging people to be aware of their rights and report legal violations without hesitation. Kupwara Police reaffirmed its commitment to legal awareness and a safer society.
