Kupwara – In a heartening celebration of intellect and community spirit, JK Lifeline Foundation, under the leadership of its Chairman Ishfaq Majeed, organized an impressive inter-school quiz competition at Peace Public School, Dedeikoot. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 12 leading schools in the region, reflecting the growing culture of academic excellence in Kupwara district.
The competition was fierce and full of excitement, testing students on a wide range of topics including general knowledge, science, current affairs, and environmental awareness. MEI Degree School emerged as the winner with an outstanding score of 120 points. Close behind was SIE Punzwa with 110 points, while City Angels Kunan secured third place with a strong 100 points.
The event was graced by two respected personalities—Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad Rather, a renowned environmental activist and academician from Jammu & Kashmir, and Sajid Rehman, a committed social worker associated with the Jammu & Kashmir Yateem Foundation. Dr. Parvaiz highlighted the urgent need for environmental awareness among the youth and praised JK Lifeline Foundation for integrating education with social consciousness. Sajid Rehman encouraged students to stay active in their communities and use their knowledge as a force for positive change.
This quiz competition is a part of the broader mission of JK Lifeline Foundation, which continues to serve as a beacon of hope and public service in the region. The foundation is widely known for organizing blood donation camps, free medical and health camps, human rights advocacy, awareness programs on education and social issues, emergency relief services during crises, and a variety of community-based initiatives aimed at uplifting the underprivileged.
The foundation is set to launch a helpdesk at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara to provide round-the-clock assistance to patients and attendants in need, further strengthening healthcare accessibility in the district.
Chairman, Ishfaq Majeed expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the participating schools, distinguished guests, volunteers, and the management of Peace Public School for their cooperation and enthusiasm. He reiterated the foundation’s commitment to nurturing education and community development through such meaningful initiatives.
