Karnah: A Mushaira focusing on drug awareness and the promotion of the mother tongue was organized by the Pahari Cultural Club Karnah with the support of the Indian Army’s 104 Shakti Vijay Brigade and 34 RT Unit. The event witnessed the participation of around ten poets who delivered powerful verses highlighting the menace of drugs and the importance of preserving linguistic and cultural heritage.
Speaking to The Spotlight, Abdul Rashid Lone, Chairman of the Pahari Cultural Club Karnah, expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for their encouragement in organizing such a meaningful event. “The Army provided us with the idea to conduct this Mushaira, and we appreciate their support,” he said.
The event not only served as a literary gathering but also as a mission-driven initiative to raise awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse. The Indian Army also arranged refreshments for the participants and the audience, further strengthening its engagement with the local community.
The Mushaira received an overwhelming response from the attendees, who lauded the efforts of the Pahari Cultural Club Karnah and the Indian Army for their commitment to social causes and cultural preservation.
