Srinagar : The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of 71 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers for Inspector General (IG) and IG-equivalent positions at the Centre. The list includes officers from the 2006 batch and deferred cases from the 1997-2005 batches, as confirmed by an order from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
Among those empanelled is Senior IPS officer Amit Kumar, currently serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) with the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
