Handwara, March 20: In a significant breakthrough, Handwara Police have successfully resolved the Zaloora, Sopore encounter case with the elimination of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Saifullah. The “A” category foreign terrorist (FT) was neutralized in an intelligence-driven operation on March 17.
Post-operation investigations confirmed Saifullah’s involvement in the January 19, 2025, Zaloora encounter, where a security forces personnel was martyred. Officials revealed that he had been actively working along the Handwara-Sopore axis to revive the LeT network.
