Sogam, April 22 – A solemn wave of outrage and sorrow engulfed the serene Lolab Valley as hundreds of residents gathered in Sogam to condemn the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of over 28 innocent tourists. The heart-wrenching tragedy has plunged the entire Kashmir Valley into mourning, sparking widespread condemnation and calls for justice.
In a powerful display of solidarity, people from all walks of life—including students, civil society members, local activists, and business owners—came together for a candlelight vigil, voicing their grief and fury. The demonstrators accused Pakistan of orchestrating acts of terror to destabilize Kashmir’s fragile peace and cripple its vital tourism industry.
Leading the march were prominent voices from the community, including Er Mudassir Lolabi and Bashir Lone, who fiercely denounced the violence and its devastating impact on everyday Kashmiris.
“The people of Kashmir have suffered enough. We cannot allow violence to shape our children’s future,” said Er Mudassir Lolabi during the gathering. “Terrorism is not resistance — it is destruction, and we must stand united against it.”
