Kupwara– In a vibrant display of talent and sportsmanship, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, under its MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) initiative, successfully organized the Cluster Level Sports Meet 2024-25 at Government Boys High School, Kundian Keran, in Block Keran, Kupwara. The two-day event, held on 16th and 17th March, brought together enthusiastic young athletes from the local community, with both boys and girls participating in large numbers.
The sports meet featured a variety of competitions, including volleyball and short races for boys, kho-kho, badminton, and skipping rope for girls, and shot put for boys — offering a platform for young talents to showcase their abilities while promoting teamwork, discipline, and a healthy competitive spirit.

The event was graced by the presence of the Indian Army’s Coy Commander, who attended as Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the crucial role of sports in shaping character and fostering resilience among youth. He urged participants to make the most of such opportunities, steer clear of negative influences, and invest their energies in constructive and nation-building activities.

The sports meet received an overwhelming response from the local community, who appreciated MY Bharat and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kupwara for bringing such engaging events to the region. Initiatives like these are not only promoting physical fitness and well-being but also serving as essential platforms to channel youth potential in a positive direction.
